Episode Tyler Myers (157):Penguins on the Verge of Repeat Stanley Cups! Crosby and Subban Mix it Up.


Pittsburgh Penguins go up 3-2 on the Nashville Predators after a dominant Game 5 performance by Sidney Crosby.  Crosby and Subban don’t like each other.  We give our Game 6 predictions.  Also, Brian Burke is in the news as he doesn’t seem to think Calgary city council appreciates the Flames.
  • Banter – Mike defies death riding the Leviathan and Behemoth roller coasters at Canada’s Wonderland.

  • Nashville Predators vs Pittsburgh Penguins – The Predators take game 4 to tie the series, but the Penguins bounce back and take game 5 with a dominant 6-0 rout. Crosby was on a mission in Game 6.  Lots of nastiness with fights, and a match penalty on a cross check by Sissons.
  • Brian Burke calls out the city of Calgary at a local luncheon and we question whether this was the best strategy.  Will it kill any deal they had been working on?

Pittsburgh Penguins go up 2-1 on the Nashville Predators despite being outplayed in all 3 games.  Gary Bettman has an interesting press conference before the final series. Game 3 in Nashville is an amazing display of the Nashville fanbase.

Episode Adam Foote (152): What IS Goaltender Interference? Oilers Collapse Twice. Niskanen Concusses Crosby. Caps Battle Back.


Round 2 continues as the Ducks win 3 straight with 2 comeback wins in OT and have the Oilers on the ropes. Nashville, Ottawa and Pittsburgh are on the cusp of winning their series with 3-2 leads as well. Crosby gets concussed by Niskanen and most of the hockey world thinks the hit was okay. Mike does not.

  • Oilers vs Anaheim Ducks – Mike watches game 4 from bar in Edmonton area. Oilers are a frustrated group but McDavid stays poised. Will they be able to bounce back after two soul-crushing losses?
  • New York Rangers vs Ottawa Senators – Karlsson continues to amaze. Sens take 3-2 lead after getting thumped by Rangers two games in a row.

  • Pittsburgh Penguins vs Washington Capitals – Niskanen concusses Crosby and Pete and Mike disagree on whether it was an okay play. Washington gets series to 3-2 but can they battle back to even the series?
  • St. Louis Blues vs Nashville Predators  -Preds look poised to win the series and we all kind of hope they win the cup so PK can bring it to Montreal.
  • Ziga Jeglic of Slovenia kicks Swiss player in neck and gets suspended 2 games.  Mike is confused.

Episode Brian Campbell (151):Oilers, Sens, Penguins Up 2-0. NHL Draft Lottery Results. Mike Milbury Says PK Subban is a Clown. Takes One to Know One.


New Jersey wins the draft lottery and Taylor Hall’s tweet is perfect. What will the Habs do now? Round 2 is well under way and the Oilers are up 2-0 on the Ducks. The Penguins and Capitals are in a battle Royale while the Predators and Blues are locked at 1 game a piece but Mike Milbury thinks “3-4 defenceman” PK Subban is a clown. The Senators and Erik Karlsson continue to surprise Mike as they lead the Rangers.
  • New Jersey and Taylor Hall win the draft lottery.  NHL GMs should never go on TV.
  • National Hockey League Playoffs Round 2.
